Winter Music Fest


According to the article super Typhoon Network hosted the Winter Island Music Fest at the Garapan Fishing Base last Dec. 29. one of Super Typhoon Network’s members, Jay H. Aldan, the event is one of the many festivals in the Island Music Festival series.


“We want to bring three per year. So the next one is still going to be an Island Music Festival and it’s going to be called ‘Reggae on the Runway,’” said Aldan.

There are Young Goddhy performs onstage, Attendees line up to get their tickets, Volunteers hold down the fort at the bar. Kapena was the headliner in last Sunday’s music festival that also featured Parker Yobei, Ka’ikena Scanlan, DJ Hapa Boy, Francis Peter, Ollie Band, Marianas Project, Young Goddhy, Dagu Diggers, Sensei United, and Studio 29:11.

Major sponsors include Budweiser, Census 2020, Bridge Capital, DNR Visuals, Hertz, and KKMP.

Digital Media Blog 12/12/2019 Current issues #8 US cities are losing 36 million trees a year.  According to CNN trees cover in US cities are shrinking. A study published last year by the US Forest Service found that we lost 36 million trees annually from urban and rural communities over a five-year period. That's a 1% drop from 2009 to 2014. If we continue on this path, "cities will become warmer, more polluted and generally more unhealthy for inhabitants," said David Nowak, a senior US Forest Service scientist and co-author of the study.
